The recapture of Jerusalem by Salah Ad Din, triggered tensions among Roman Christians which resulted in an another crusade called the ‘Third Crudade”.

After a lengthy war the 3rd crusade came to an end resulting in a peace treaty between muslims and christians. After this agreement as usual the christians flouted the agreement and led continuous wars on muslims namely 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th crusade which always resulted in the victory of muslims. Finally this crusade came to an end after the 8th crusade war due to arise of Mamluk muslim forces.

After the end of crusade wars the crusade soldiers were abondoned by their own crusade leaders. In the mean time The Soldiers of Templar Knights were assassinated by their own christian crusade leaders. So by this way crusade war came to an end.

Result of Crusades:

Though muslims won the war physically, Christians learned a lot of civilized behavious from muslims. This helped the christians to develope their cruel activities against muslims in different ways.

Medicine- The christian world learned many modern medicinal treatment techniques from muslim world. Before this the christian world didn’t had any proper treatment techniques even for small infections or diseases. They even considered a simple headache as a divine disease and would kill the patient in the name of treatment. So when they saw the most modern treatment techniques in muslim nations they learned a lot from them and developed their own medicine field.

Currency- Christians learned to imprint currencies from muslims.

Developing Good Characters- Christians were so barbaric, so when they saw a hygiene and loveable character in mulsims they learned a lot form it.

Business- In the Christian world only the kings were able to do business while others were slaves. But in muslim world everyone were allowed to do business. So this triggered the christians to follow muslims in the field of business.

After learning all these developed civilizations from muslims – these christians grew enviousity over muslims and wanted to destroy the developed civilization of muslims. As a result of this the Christians introduced a new technique called ‘Colonialism’ through which the christains were able to conquer a nation in a slow process and suck their wealth to their own development. These were the results of Crusades.

Lessons from Crusades:

According to me the one and only important lesson that we learn from crusades in ‘UNITY’.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala said:

وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَا تَنٰزَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ ۖ وَاصْبِرُوٓا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصّٰبِرِينَ
“And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart; and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”
(QS. Al-Anfaal: Verse 46)

Thus when we lost our unity we lost our strength when we lost our strength we lost everything. That’s it.

So the war which took for about 400 years- teaches every muslim to maintain unity within themselves.

May Allah(swt) bestow his rahama on us and help us in maitaining unity within ourselves forever – ameen.
